Performing Arts

Age Group: Year 1 to Year 13

Classes are held in Soto de Viñuelas and are available for students of La Moraleja and Chamartín.


Our aims are to:

  • Support the creative, intellectual and social development of the individual as a whole
  • Improve students’communication skills
  • Promote team work
  • Unlock imagination and creative thinking
  • Develop Performing Arts skills across the range
  • Foster the appreciation of Performing Arts
  • Build self confidence and self-esteem

The children work towards 2 major shows during the year. They are also invited to take part in trips and other events.

The Saturday group will also be working towards a touring production at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Performing Arts students are given the opportunity to take officially accredited LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) examinations. These take place biannually and cover the following disciplines.

  • Performance:     Acting, devised drama, mime, musical theatre
  • Communication: Reading for performance, speaking in public, using spoken english, verse and prose
